(Archived) How trustworthy are the trunk and external apps built over Evernote?

Given that EN is all about data security, how trustworthy are the apps built on evernote? I tried two apps, and both of them asked me for a permission to share my contents to them for 365 days. How do they use that data? Is there any surety that they wont miss use it, or the risk is entirely with us? If that be, then it beats the whole purpose. Can someone kindly explain?
