Code and Custom Keyboard Shortcuts

I'd like for Evernote to be better at supporting code.

In other apps like Slack, putting text `in between these quotes` will automatically format the text to be like code.

I'd also LOVE for there to be a custom keyboard shortcut that will allow highlighted text to be formatted like code, even if it's just to change the font face.

CTRL+SHIFT+L will change the highlighted code to the evernote code style (in Windows), but it also puts it into a block, so it might not be what you are looking for. (It doesn't do any code formatting though)
