I had the same problem and just got the fix.  It turns out I was using Evernote Legacy.  They gave me the link to download the more updated and correct version of Evernote and now it's fine.  Here it is:  https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005257

Let's say I'm on the iphone and do a search on "candle."  It shows me the first occurrence.  How do I easily find the next occurence?  On my MacBook Pro it would be Command + G to take you to each occurrence of the word "candle."   Obviously you can't do that on the iphone.

There's got to be an easy way to do that instead of having to scroll through the entire note.
