The macOS application is completely unusable. This issue should be priority #1 for the development team, if it isn't already.

I became an Evernote user (and premium subscriber) on Monday. I absolutely love the product and its minimal, straightforward design. I am experiencing this particular issue with the macOS app and hope it gets resolved soon. In the meantime, I've been using the web client and have not had any issues whatsoever. I would recommend the web client as a temporary solution to anyone who is being affected by this issue.
