Thank for the suggested workaround, but unfortunately it doesn't work with sorting by title. All other sortings works fine.

Unfortunately, loading version 10.67.2-win-ddl-public (20231122160420) doesn't solve anything.

Hi,
I use the filtered notes widget on my start screen and sort the notes by title descending. But since at least two weeks, the notes are always shown in ascending order, independent from the settings i choose in the filter. Seems to be bug. It happens on all devices.
I use 10.66.5-win-winstore-public (20231120095228) on windows and 10.60.2 on android.
Does anyone have the same problem or better a solution?

Another approach is to export the template as an enex file.
Thank you, that seems to be a good hint. I'll try it.

or click in a cell and then do {Home} then {Shift}{End} - I use this in an AutoHotKey script so i know it works consistently
Unfortunately that doesn`t work for cells with multiline text. Then only the current line is selected.

Selects only one word.
But in general evernote should do the same as ms-word or other widely used programs.
Additionally if i am typing something, it is uncomfortable to grab the mouse and click something. A keystroke is much easier and it is used behavior.

You can of course simply bypass the template system by duplicating your "template" note. That obviously doesn't solve the relative time setting issue.
That is the actual workaround, but it is not very comfortable. I have to search for my original note and then to copy it. This original note shouldn't have values in it and should contain only the framework as in a template. But it is shown as a normal note. It pops up in search results etc. That makes it unwieldy. Sometimes, if i want to make some quick entries, I do at inadvertently in the template note.
The templates are available, everytime when i create a new note, and otherwise they out of scope.

A task in a template note will appear as a task in the task pop out so effectively scheduled when it is still a template.
Yes, I know, but they could change that. 😉

Ctrl-a is the default key combination for selecting all text. In all other programs, I know, ctrl-a in a table cell selects at first the complete text in that cell and if you type it a second time the text in the whole document.
In evernote the whole document is selected on typing ctrl-a once. That is very impractical. In general it is not very comfortable to select the text in a table cell. You must be very carefull, to not select more than one cell or the whole table.
I would appreciate, if you could adapt the functionality of all the other programs.

Oh, this post is two years old and nothing happend yet. That is very bad. I would really appreciate the possibility to put tasks in templates to make project templates, that activate the tasks in the moment, I make a note with that template.
But then we also need a sort of relative time settings for tasks, like two weeks from the moment of activating the template or two days after finishing a task before.

There are several ways to manage the personal tasks. I note every task, I have to do in the default not for tasks. I have a different note with my tasks of the day and every morning, I move the tasks, I want to do today to that note. To see, what fits in my day, I note the estimated duration of the task with the title, ie. "Writing evernote idea - 10". I would appreciate, if I were able to build a sort of template for my task titles and that evernote then asks me for the field values. Also gives me the possibilty, to edit these fields in the task list, sort at fields and so on.

I searched the forum and didn't find an idea like this. If there is one already, please appologize.
I know, the official way is, that a task is in a note and that there could be also some text about the task. But in practice that is very unhandy. To look on my tasks, I click on the tasks item and see all my tasks, unless in which note they are. If I click on a task, I see the task details and not the note, which contains maybe some more information about that task.
My wish is, that the text area next to each task in a note, is directly shown in the tasklist or at least easy to open from there. It should also be editable and creatable from there.

I use evernote since years now, but the new releases after the redesign make it hard, to love the app.
The android app starts slow. It seems, that I have to open it manually to get reminders. The sync is very slow and the app is very often not actual.
If I try to share something with evernote, I have to do it twice, to get it work.
I use the app rel. 10.17 on a samsung galaxy s10 and tab a.
I hope, evernote works hard to improve it.
Sort on filtered notes widget in start screen doesn't work anymore
