Evernote has never had this feature and I agree that it would be really useful. There is a related (at least in my mind) request for collapsible sections.

Evernote has never been great at helping you navigate around long notes. My approach has always been that when a note gets too long I split it up and use a table of contents note to navigate to the new shorter notes which are effectively sections of a long "virtual note". This is obviously not ideal but it works in most cases. Perhaps the new sections formatting could be expanded to add some code behind the scenes that allowed you to easily move between sections.

Yeah, that would be a really good solution too. And the table of a content solution is kind of a primitive solution but I also use it when I have to. Btw, can you guys vote for this feature if you want it too.Maybe it would increase the odds this will be noticed by developers.

Yes, same issue plus any image I annotate. Very frustrating as I need inline images not attachments. Makes usage of EN for me questionable

When I am near my desktop I will confirm

Regarding Android mobile have you confirmed that your *View Options* has the *View Images* option selected?

Yeah View Images option is marked.

What do you mean when you say slides? Are you referring to PDFs since you mentioned Acrobat Reader?

If so it seems I am in the same boat as you (didn't realize that before as I just checked after your post). All of my PDFs that I am trying to view via mobile are now the same scenario as I listed with my images. They can only be viewed as an attachment, not inline.

However, via mobile (Android in my case) if I click the attachment it will load it up so that I can view it thru Evernote vs needing to use Acrobat Reader for example. It does not load it up for me in a way where it stays loaded, though. So if I want to view it again it needs to load up every time. In other words it is never kept inline any more.

This is a little different than what you are describing, though. Not sure why your has to be downloaded. Are your PDFs by chance more than 10mb? If so then the same limitation I mentioned regarding images might be applied to your PDFs where they need to be under 10mb

Yeah my slides are in a pdf format. And seems like we experience the same thing on mobile (android). I need to load my pdf files everytime I want to see them. And I also have another problem about thumbnails. And by thumbnails I'm referring to these squares. I can see some of them on desktop but can't see any of them on mobile.

If you are referring to the images being seen as attachments vs inline then images can only be inline (preview) now if they are less than 10mb. If this is what you are referring to I am having the same issue.

I have no issue viewing the image if I do nothing to it. However, if I annotate from a mobile device I can no longer Preview it, only download it. Frustrating as I require inline to be of use to me

Actually I was talking about the thumbnails and I'm  usually using EN on desktop. Also, I can't see my slides on mobile, unless I open them with adobe acrobat reader. I'm not sure this was different before the update though.

  5. I've reported the issue after the main update but I don't think they care at all. I guess the thumbnail problem and some other glitches will be around for a while. I'm going to use One Note if they don't fix these problems soon. I was really enjoying the app before the update. It is really disappointing they ruined people's notes for just a few good features. Darkmode, superscript and subscript buttons are good features but considering some of my notes turned into html files and thumbnails of my slides are no longer available, consequences of the update are much more than the advantages.

  6. I guess the only good update is dark mode. The rest of this update is trash. I was really expecting this tho. I think the Evernote team really needs to consider creating general options for each notebook stacks and allow users to make their decisions on what new feature they want to use. Making changes and telling people get used to it or install a previous version. These are not good solutions at all.

My biggest problem is right now that I have to change the default "view as attachment" option to "view as All Pages".

And in the previous version first slide page was automatically seen as a small image I used to look at to understand what note I'm working with. It was giving a really good clue about the note.

If you don't give us general options for notebook stacks I will have to quit using Evernote in the future. We can't spend hours fixing every note after every update.

  7. I've been wondering if I can sort my notes according to my own preference. I searched for it in the evernote and couldn^t find any option. Also checked evernote forums and I guess there is no feature like this yet. I'd be much happier if evernote provides this kind of feature for users. It would be great if we could drag our notes up and down and after sorting lock them in a specific order.

    Thanks in advance
