There is another feature request here: 

Feb 2022 and still no tabs in the new version? When will this be added? I stayed on legacy version for a long time but figured it would have been added by now...

Also, the only reason I am not actively beta testing the new Evernote is because it doesn't have a dark mode. I am so used to it that it freaks me out not to have it that way.

Same reason for me not using the beta, I would like to use it but not having dark-mode is a dealbreaker

August 2020 and this is still an issue. I use dark mode for everything so no way am I turning it off. Someone said that EN support doesn't monitor these forums? Would they rather just get 100 duplicate tickets?

Upvote for adding this feature to mac client, especially as an auto-hide feature.

I don't want to have to constantly be opening and closing new windows, a feature to auto-hide the 2 columns whenever I am working on the individual note, with a button that reopens it would help a lot.

Atom does this really well, and OneNote has this feature
