I'm glad I'm not the only one suffering here. It takes about 15 seconds on average to create a new note.

I noticed this for a couple of weeks, I've ended up using email as a temporary solution whenever I need to save something quickly.

Hopefully the fix will sort it.

I agree with your concerns here - could EN please explain why it requires access to my keychain? 

Also, can EN please confirm that "EvernoteSpotlight" is a process or service that is actually part of Evernote?
