  1. With the "Syncing temporarily paused" message displayed, I edited a note (on my laptop, Evernote web) and the change was reflected on my phone (Evernote app).

I created a note on my phone and that note appeared on my laptop.

According to these tests the "Syncing temporarily paused" is incorrect. They are being synced.

Signing out and then signing back in seems to have fixed the problem. I'll watch to see if the problem comes back.

The error message came back the next day. "Syncing temporarily paused. You can continue editing while Evernote reconnects."

This time signing out and signing back in didn't fix the problem. The message seemed to go away, but as soon as I began editing a note in Evernote Web on my laptop the message came back.

There is not an Evernote Ubuntu app. I have used NixNote2 but sometimes that has it's own sync problems.

  3. I"m having the same problem. "Syncing temporarily paused. You can continue editing while Evernote reconnects."

Except it's not temporary. It stays that way for a half hour. And the note which I edited on my phone is not updated in Evernote Web.

I'm using web based Evernote Web in Chromium browser [Version 121.0.6167.184 (Official Build) snap (64-bit)] on Ubuntu 22. This is an HP-cn172063cl laptop.

I also use it on my Android phone, but I don't have a sync problem there.

I'm not: connecting through a firewall, using a VPN, or using a busy network.

  4. I'm on Windows 11 and trying to use Backupery. It doesn't find the Evernote directory and I can't find it either. I have the Evernote Windows client installed.

I've looked in C:\Users\myusername, (and I see BackuperyForEvernote there).

    I found instructions at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313528-Back-up-and-restore-your-data-in-Evernote-for-Windows

but that's not working for me.

    And ~/Library/Containers/

Where is that? Is that a Mac thing?

  5. I'm having the same problem in Evernote Web on Firefox, not on Chromium. When I click in the search bar, that is supposed to remain the "focus" so I can type in my search. I can type in maybe one letter, then it loses focus and I'm typing into my most recently opened Note. Has anyone found a solution?

  6. I've been using Evernote (web interface) and occasionally syncing it to NixNote, I then backup Nixnote2 by "exporting database".
Recently NixNote2 stopped sync'ing with Evernote.
    NixNote2 Message Log says
    Code:
    Error:  INFO 2020-05-03 01:00:04.551 ( nixnote.cpp @ 1900 ) "Internal Error: Error downloading https://www.evernote.com/edam/user - server replied: OK"
But that doesn't give me any helpful information.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Nixnote2. I'm still getting the error message

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nixnote/nixnote2-stable -y
    sudo apt update
    sudo apt install nixnote2 -y

I can see that Nixnote is an updated version, and Help/About says Version: 202003110020~2.1.5~ubuntu16.04.1

How can I resolve this sync problem?

Then I got this, which includes some more details, but is repetitive.
This could be a "corrupted database" but then what do I do about that?

  7. I use Evernote Android on my phone and in the web browser. I create Evernote backups by using  Nixnote in Ubuntu on my laptop (just so I can "Backup Database").

Now I have two notes which are on my Android Evernote, and they will not upload, leading to error messages every time I open Evernote. And I can't delete them. How do I resolve this and delete the notes. These notes are not in Nixnote, so I can't delete them in Nixnote.

    Evernote Android 8.12.1

Just followed that advice and installed the previous version. Seems OK so far.

    Not a happy dude.

    I did the same.

On my phone I went to Google Play, went to Evernote, and checked "no auto updates".

    Then I uninstalled Evernote.

Using my phone I downloaded the app at https://androidapksfree.com/evernote/com-evernote/download-old/evernote-8-8-1-1082393/

I clicked to open. I had to allow "installations from this source".

I opened the app and entered my login details. It synced. And now I have full-text search back.

I see that I received an update to the app early today. I usually don't pay attention to the version numbers unless there's a problem, but according to my log file, I'm currently on Evernote version 8.9(1082873), Evernote revision 8.9_2473.'ve submitted a ticket, so we'll see what comes back. I'm cautiously optimistic, given that folks have indicated Evernote responses saying that they're aware of search issues.

I'm also on Evernote 8.9 and having problems with search.

I get only the "recycle" circle arrow (see the attached image) and nothing else while she gets a proper magnifying glass icon with a complete message "No notes have been found" or something like that.

When I want to find a note, I begin typing, and if something shows up below the "Refine Your Search" bar such as a tag I've used or the title of a note, I can get to that and it works well. But just plain old typing in the search bar, which I guess is a "full text search" or "search all text", that doesn't work. I get the dreaded "recycle" circle arrow.

I tried using Evernote in Firefox on my Android phone. Apparently Evernote blocks that. Why?

Searches that worked, and full text search failed

  11. I'm having the same problem. Evernote in a web browser on my laptop works fine. On my Andoid phone, Evernote 8.9 the search does not work.

Sometimes I can make one search work if I run CCleaner but that only works once.  I'll have to do CCleaner again if I need Evernote search an hour later. That's odd because I have 2GB available on my internal memory and 8 GB free on my external SD card.

The "spinning" search indicator seems to show that it is searching for an item that matches, but it just keeps searching and searching. My phone is a Galaxy J7 Star SM-J737T running Android 8.0.0.
