Go to tools -options and enable beta features and updates. Then it will indicate update available. Let me know if this update solved problem for you.
If this option isn't available you probably have Evernote installed from the Windows 10 app store. You'll need to uninstall the App Store version and download and install Evernote from Evernote.com
Beta version 6.11.1.7010 has fixed the blank note problem for me.
