Well ... I have waited and waited. I went ahead and installed Joplin. Since I had nearly 3000 notes and nearly 15 GB of material, the transfer wasn't easy, but it is done and I really like what I see so far. Plus, I can sync with Dropbox. It is annoying that evernote exports in such a lousy fashion, which I guess is to make sure it isn't easy to change vendors. 

Could someone from Evernote at least give a status report? Tentative release date? Is it still alive? Cancelled?
