Mouse click bottom to get cursor to bottom

This is something that has irritated me for the longest time.

When i'm working in multiple windows and inputting text, I'm used to the cursor going to the bottom of the document by clicking anywhere at the bottom of a document or input window. This works in most Mac and Windows word processor applications. This includes Office 365.

Irritatingly, Evernote has a defined area that must be clicked for the cursor to reset to the end of a document. This needs to be changed because it's not expected behavior and increases the amount of attention someone needs to pay to the Evernote window. I often waste a second or two hunting for the clickable area in order to resume inputting text.

Is there a logical reason for this odd behavior? It's driving me away from the product because it stops my flow almost every time!
