LeoTM 3 Posted June 8, 2016 Share Posted June 8, 2016 Ctrl+Q is just not natural. It puts strain on the left hand. Nor does it feel natural with the left pinkie on Q, and the right pinkey on Ctrl. Ctrl+P is natural. Sublime Text adopt it. Google just adopted it in Chrome Dev Tools. Everyone's used to Ctrl+P. At least let us amend this in Tools -> Options -> Hot Keys, please! Link to comment

P says nothing about search, and has since a long time been connected to Print, just as it is in Evernote today. You are refering to code-focused software where print plays no part. Evernote however is primarily a note taking software. And the natural move for Ctrl+P is just as much a left pinkie on (Left) Ctrl and left middlefinger on Q, for Quick search. Right Ctrl doesn't even exist on laptop keyboards. Link to comment

Maybe you didn't notice from the Evernote plan changes occuring in 6 days - people tend to use 2 or more devices to access their notes and are happy to pay for it, rather than print notes or let Evernote dictate which device they use. It only puts the middle finger on W if you need to have simultaneous access to ASD to simulate the arrow key setup... But we are not gaming when we are doing the Ctrl+Q are we? Q{Caps lock}AS is also a natural four finger setup, just not for gaming as caps lock won't let you walk left... Link to comment

Putting your left pinky on Ctrl naturally places your middle finger on W. Maybe you have strange hands (no offence), or an abnormal keyboard. Link to comment

I use PhraseExpress for keyboard mapping, and it let's you select which apps you want to use it for or restrict it from. Link to comment
LeoTM 3 Posted July 28, 2016 Author Share Posted July 28, 2016 Also strange bug in this wysiwyg editor (or IPB Message board if it's integrated) - after typing "@" which shows the dropdown menu list of users, the space character no longer works.
