Checkboxes and HTML export?

Checkboxes within the Evernote note itself are represented by a special encoding that's not part of HTML.  So when the note is exported to HTML, this encoding has to be output as something in standard HTML.  Evernote chose to do this by replacing the encoding with an image of a checkbox.  So in the exported HTML, you're not seeing an actual checkbox but merely a picture of a checkbox.  That's why it can't be checked.
