Any possibility of introducing templates or stationary

The more things I've tried doing with Evernote, the more amazing the tool is for me!

I'd love it though if I there'd be a choice of nice backgrounds, templates, stationary - similar to what OneNote offers. Is there one, and can there be one in the future?

Not sure what OneNote offers, but I don't think you'll see backgrounds/stationary in Evernote.  
It doesn't seem to be that type of product.
There are outstanding requests for the option of background colours.
The best I can do is use a template with a table where I assign background colour

Templates have also been requested, and might have a better chance.
What are your requirements?
I'm using a Mac and have satisfied my template requirements using a custom script
- a selection list of my available templates
- copy to a new note                   
- assign title, tags

It's a paid-for add-in which adds some useful features to note layout as well as some utilities like exporting and importing tag lists and Outlook notes.
