Hello I have the very same problem including the log: error: "local: missing notebook (DATA_REQUIRED)"

The note had been deleted (moved to trash, trash emptied).

How to get a rid of this.

@moldor @zavrelj Based on the error in the logs and the fact that you have already deleted and trashed the offending note, I recommend rebuilding your database which will regenerate a new local database by copying your notes back down from the service.

To do this:

  1. Select the Windows Explorer icon on the bottom left.
  2. Once open, from the left navigation bar, select Computer.
  3. Double click the C: Drive from the center body.
  4. Double click the Users file.
  5. Double click your user.
  6. In the file path bar at the top type the following: \AppData\Local\Evernote\Evernote\Databases
  7. Move the file with your username (ending in "exb") to a different location.  For example, move it to your computer's desktop.
  8. Sign In to Evernote with your username and password.
  9. Wait for your account data to synchronize to your machine from the service.

This happend in Evernote for Windows 6.1.2.2292 (302292) Public after a collapse.

@nohb's method worked but it is inconvinient to download a large database.

I got this bug as well on the current non-beta Client for Windows.

"Download the universe" fix in progress despite it being very inconvenient, particularly for a business account.

Me too. Same bug.

error: "local: missing notebook (DATA_REQUIRED)"

The workaround is very inconvenient for my database (8GB).

Please fix that.
