mjkdouglas 1 Posted May 11, 2016 When working with larger notebooks, a table of contents option would be great. I often make something like this to reference the notes, but having one built in which is at the stop of the note list no matter how sorted would be nice. The contents could just be a list of note links which to which additional notes can be added. I suppose preference to how this list is sorted could also be added. 1 Share this post Link to post
DTLow 3,891 Posted May 11, 2016 I use the top list view on my Mac It gives me a list of notes, with the meta data presented in column form. You could also create your own table of contents note - use the copy-links/create-table-of-contents feature - it wouldn't be dynamic; you have to update it when you add notes - you have to make manipulations to keep it at the top of the notes ( dates, title) Share this post Link to post

If you wish, you can do the following to make this TOC Note almost always appear at the top of the Note list: Set the Date Created, or Date Updated, to a date in the future Start the Title of the Note with a special character, like "!" In the Title (or body) of the Note you can enter the actual date created, like:! TOC as of 2016-05-12 (Thu) 1 Share this post Link to post
Dave-in-Decatur 911 Posted May 12, 2016 Many thanks, JMichaelTX. I'd been unaware of this feature; it's a fine one! 1 Share this post Link to post
