Why are some notes marked with smileys on the web app?

I recently logged into the web app for the first time in over a year. Usually use the desktop version/mobile app.

I noticed that certain (seemingly random) notes are marked with smiley/winky faces in the upper-right corner. In the list at the side of the page, not the open note.

Could someone please explain why this is?

I haven't typed anything in the headers that would be converted  into emojis.

I'm the only one with access to this account unless my security has been breached.
