Date Stamp button

Web portal needs a function that allows you to insert a time/date stamp (being able to customize the format would be a plus).  I currently use the relevant date in the note name (e.g. "2015/1/15 Samsung TV Receipt") as well as in the body and not being able to easily insert a date stamp is a pain.

Don't know which platform you are using, but if Windows try a text expander like PhaseExpress.  PE makes it easy to insert a formatted date using a hot key.  This is just one of the repetitive mouse/keyboard tasks you can complete using it.  FWIW.
