Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,115 Posted December 19, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted December 19, 2015 (edited) Location of Evernote Data Folder for EN Mac To locate your Evernote Data folder for your account, goto Evernote > About Evernote, and HOLD down the OPT key to get a link to “Open database folder”: Click on this link to open the Mac Finder to this folder The Finder is showing the EN data folder for the current EN account that you are logged in to on your Mac The top level Evernote folder, which is up a few levels, is: “com.evernote.Evernote”. For the Direct D/L version, the Parent Folder is: ~Library:Application Support For the App Store version, there are apparently two top level folders that would need to be replaced if doing a restore from backup: ~/Library/Containers/com.evernote.Evernote ~/Library/Containers/com.evernote.EvernoteHelper Note that, unlike EN Win, EN Mac stores its data in a combination of SQLite database and files/folders. Use the top level Evernote folder for backup purposes. Edited January 11, 2016 by JMichaelTX Added location for App Store version 6 Link to comment

Larry G 1
I believe this is outdated info. I just tried opening the About Evernote screen on my mac and there was no "Open database folder" link. Link to comment

Did you hold down the option key Also, which version of Evernote are you using The menu location changed in 6.12 1 Link to comment
Larry G 1
Thank you, both! You are right DTLow, I needed to also hit the Option key. I had overlooked that. As soon as I did so I saw the link to the database folder, and also I see I have 6.11 installed, so I need to upgrade to 6.12 and then this will all be moot, since the link will now be in a new place, but bravo to Evernote for making things more consistent! Pete Blakemore 0
Does this information still stand, or have things changed since various updates in the last few years? Thank you. Pete Link to comment
Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,115 Posted May 14, 2020 Author Level 5* Share Posted May 14, 2020 @Pete Blakemore, did you read this just above, and try it on your Mac: Quote Hold OPTION on your keyboard and click on Help. Next, go to Troubleshooting >Open Database folder Link to comment
PereB 0
Is this still working? I can't get this "Open Database folder" option on Evernote 10.57.6 on Mac Ventura. Thanks Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 7,814 Posted May 31, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted May 31, 2023 This thread is about EN legacy. The method won’t work with v10. There are 2 possible locations with v10, one for the direct download, one for the AppStore version. For both you must enable viewing hidden folders. Link to comment
