Using Evernote at work

Came into work this week and started using evernote like normal like I have been for the past two months.  Went home last night and noticed none of my notes updated and synced to my other computer.  I thought that was odd, but it wasn't a major loss of data so no big deal.  Come into work today and I see whenever I try to sync evernote on my work's wireless internet connection, I get this error, "An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made."

Is this because my work started to block Evernote syncing all of a sudden?  I can access the internet no problem, and to my knowledge no other websites are blocked on corporate network.  I can log into my evernote account in my browser and sync fine, just not through the app.  I'm using a macbook air and El Capitan.

If anyone has suggestions, I would love to hear them.  Thanks in advance.

I am having the exact same issue.  All of a sudden i am unable to Sync behind the corporate network.  Where some changes made around SSL certificates?

While I would be surprised that this is still an issue, see the fix for POODLE SSL 3.0 issue
