How do you do this from a notebook.

 

I share portable document files with clients, and they cannot download the file from the link Evernote sends

Don't think you can share just the PDF, or any attachment.

You can share a single Note, but it is a public URL, meaning that anyone who has the URL can read the Note.

 

If you need to routinely share PDFs, then I'd recommend doing so using DropBox, where you can set permissions on a folder and file basis.

This would allow you to:

1. Have a Public folder, shared (read only) to everyone
2. Share a folder of documents common to all clients
3. Share an individual folder with each client

You could always put a link to the PDFs in Evernote.

If it's a one time thing you can simply email the note. That should make the attachment available.

When sending a portable document file to clients, I will use Box.com.
