delete note and also delete something within a note

I looked at the info on deleting a note but I was not able to swipe left as it says to do.  How do I delete a note?

 

Also, somehow an unrelated picture got into one of my notes.  How do I delete it, and for future reference how do I delete any area in a note that I no longer want there?  Evernote is great conceptually but it sure does have some glitches.

Android

1. Tap 'Notebooks' from the slide out menu to open the notebook list
2. Tap the three dots button next to the notebook you'd like to delete
3. Select 'Delete' from the options list

As to pictures and 'areas' of notes,  if you can long press and select any item,  there are usually options including 'delete'.  If not,  try on a desktop - some things still aren't possible in Android.
