Evernote occasionally fails to synchronize

Dear Evernote community,

Our business is using a premium account from Evernote for management. The software appears to work, however we have some issue's with the main user (and Evernote advocate). Sometimes, synchronizing just fails. Evernote is installed on Windows 2008 R2 & iPad.

I'm posting a log with some elements obscured since this is a HRM employee.

Does anyone share the same experience? Google only yields results related to incorrect use of the public API. However, we are using the official client.

First, you should remove your email address from your post if you don't want to get spam mail.

I have seen your sync error myself a number of times recently.  It means there is some problem on the Evernote Service side of things, and in general there is nothing you can do to fix.

However, Evernote usually fixes their problem very quickly, within minutes.

If you are finding that the sync error persists for more than an hour, then you might want to try this:

  • Sign out of Evernote app, restart your PC/Mac, sign back in to Evernote app

Since you are a Premium account owner, you have access to EN Support Chat, the fastest way of getting support.

It is unlikely that Evernote will send you an email as a result of your post.  You need to either do a  EN Chat, or submit a bug report.  See links below.

See Evernote Chat Support., available business days 7am-7pm US CST.

(Chat option appears AFTER you click “Continue” on initial “Evernote Support” page.)

I recommend that everyone who experiences a bug to submit a bug report.  This will make sure that Evernote is aware of the issue, provide your environment data to help identify/fix the issue, and put more pressure on Evernote to fix.

Submit a BUG report via an EN Support Ticket. In the Support Form, select "Report a bug", and start the Ticket Title with "BUG:  " to make it clear.  Reporting a bug should be available to all users, including Free Account owners.  Other Ticket types available to Free users are "Data Loss", "Crash", & "Sync Issue", "Payment/Billing Issue", and  "Log in issues".
