Archimedes 1 Posted June 28, 2015 Share Posted June 28, 2015 I just noticed while updating to v5.8.11.8117 that the updater/installer ran the Java Quick Starter service (jqs.exe). I thought most everyone stopped using Java a couple years ago due to some malware. Can Evernote be updated if I disable this service? (I'm running Win XP.) Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 11,652 Posted June 28, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted June 28, 2015 Hi. I just updated (in Win 8.1) and kept an eye on the process - no such service enabled here. You could try disabling it to see if anything stops working.. please let us know what happens if you do. Link to comment
