What OS? Windows/ Mac...?

  • Assuming you're on a desktop,  check the Activity Log to see if there are any clues.
  • restart your computer
  • Make sure you have a good network connection,  and stop any other updates/ downloads that may be in progress
  • Empty your Trash notebook / check for Conflicting Changes notebooks
  • check online by logging in here in a desktop browser - https://www.evernote.com/Login.action and do the Trash/ Conflicts search there too
  • check the server status here > http://status.evernote.com/ or Twitter @evernotestatus

I'm getting an error message that says "Sync failure due to unexpected problems server side".  What does that mean, and what due I need to do to fix it?  Thx.

I had the same problem, sent in a ticket and this was the response:

Thanks for sending the log, that was helpful.

We are getting reports from some users that the get a server-side error even know all notes are syncing correctly.

The Dev team is looking into the issue.

You account is syncing OK, but I know the error message is a concern for you.

I've added the internal issue report to this ticket. If you like, I can follow up when the cause of the error has been identified and fixed.

To verify that your account has been properly sync'd, view using the EN Web client at Evernote.com
