Evernote is not responding v5.8.6.7519

hi all, 

Can not open evertnote in Windows 7 x64. Till yesterday evening all worked fine, but now when trying to open evernote shows "not responding". Tried to solve with different ways - restart evernote services, restart pc, except re-install.

Hi.  I'd think your next step would be a reinstall.

 

Protect your database just in case - it shouldn't be affected by the operation,  but if you have any unsynced data - local notebooks or recent notes - your database is the only record.

  • Make sure Evernote isn't running (which seems unlikely,  but still..)
  • locate folder at C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Evernote\Evernote\Databases
  • copy/ zip database folder to desktop
  • uninstall Evernote
  • restart computer
  • download and install latest version as administrator

We're currently on 5.8.8.7837 - if you have a special reason for staying with an older version,  you can probably find recent ones here - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/desktop/notes/evernote_for_windows.cfm#all_versions
