your ultralight fonts are very hard to read

I can't understand that attraction of such light fonts as are used in the Windows browser (and probably all over). I might like to use this product, but I am not going to get eyestrain for the benefit of having a dedicated note manager. IThanks, but goodbye.

Hi.  Check your Windows preferences.  My version of Evernote uses Arial for the headings and text.  It's not known as a 'light font'.  Good luck with whatever software you choose...
