I've used Evernote for a long time on many platforms and I've been a premium member for many years. I haven't been able to find a way to hide the notes bar on the left of the view. I can switch around how it works - Card View, Expanded Card View etc - but I can't remove it. I've done this on Windows with no problems.
Why do I like this? To maximize the viewing space for my notes and to un-clutter my window. I tend to align two windows horizontally next to each other so I can take notes in one but not in the other. The notes side bar does not play into my workflow at all and it goes against the minimalist direction that Evernote has been embracing recently. You can't even move it from the left to the right side of the view.
Is there a way to get rid of it or at least shrink it to nonexistence? I'm not certain why a feature that is available on all other platforms is not available here.
