Cut / Delete Current Line of Text With Keyboard Shortcut

Hi,

 

In many text editors one can do the following:

 

1) CUT the current line of text where cursor is positioned with a keyboard shortcut e.g. CTRL+ X

 

This feature will allow user to quickly cut a line of text from one place and paste it elsewhere in the note

 

 

2) DELETE the current line of text using e.g. CTRL+D

 

A quick way to remove unwanted lines of text from a note.

CTRL+X works, but you first have to select the entire line.

 

After you select the entire line(s), you can CTRL-X to "cut", or press "DELETE" to just delete the like.

Yes the line selection is the inconvenient part. Key shortcut would work the best.

 

I discovered that if I double click to select a word and then double click again the whole line will be selected. So I guess that is also a good work-around.

OR, SHIFT-CMD-RightArrow will select from the cursor to the end of the line.

 

These are Mac standard, should work in all apps, not just Evernote.

 

EDIT:  sorry, I forgot you're using Windows.  But there should be something equivalent in Windows.

In Windows, HOME and END take you to the beginning and end of the current line.  SHIFT+HOME and SHIFT+END do the same, with selection.  So HOME followed by SHIFT+END will select the entire line.
