Please read SoftwareMarcus’s response here: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/76662-evernote-for-mac-v60-and-v601/page-10#entry325989 and possibly upgrade to V6.0.1 from the Evernote site!

And for a secure removal and re-installation from 6.0 to 6.0.1 read this: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/77444-how-to-completely-remove-and-reinstall-en-mac/

And before you do this: create a backup especially of your local notebooks!!!!!

A reboot sometimes helps as well.

The problems might be specific to the App Store version: https://discussion.e...e-2#entry331456

A switch to the direct download version then is the solution.

How to securely switch: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/77444-how-to-completely-remove-and-reinstall-en-mac/

Can someone confirm that? Rebooting does fix the issue, but before uninstalling / re-installing, I would like to know how/why this fixes the issue.

Some users reported that a reboot solved the problem at least for some time. For others it did not. It is difficult to say. I don't know whether it made a difference to reboot before and/or after re-installation.

You now should upgrade to the latest 6.0.5 (App Store or direct download) version. It seems that this version is more stable. I did not read a single post saying that it showed similar problems like slow loading or empty note titles or notes.

Updated to 6.0.5 on Mac OS X Yosemite and my files have reappeared... whew. My working whole world revolves around Evernote and that gave me a scare.

Glad things are back to working, again.
