Two Skitch Windows After Capture

I've started seeing an odd behavior with Skitch in the last few weeks. I'm not sure what has changed, maybe the upgraded to Yosemite but I can't prove that.

 

When I do a screen capture using hotkeys (e.g., Shift-Command-5) Skitch opens up with the image just captured. But within less than a second, a second Skitch window opens up with the previous image captured. Even if that image was captured days ago. Really odd and frustrating since I have to close the window with the prior image. The prior image has been synced so it is very unclear to me as to why this happens.

 

I've used Skitch for years and have never seen this behavior until the last few weeks.

So, four years later, no progress, or even acknowledgement.
