No connection with the server - try later

Hi there,

I use Evernote on my Android and on web which both work fine, but I also installed the PC-version and it started all well, but since a few weeks it says, connection to the server is not possible - try later again. But I definitely am online - the browser app works fine! I already de- and re-installed (now to Version 5.7.1) but still the problem remains - what can I do? (Besides quit trying and using it on android and browser all the time?)

Evernote made some changes to improve security that may affect you.

One important thing to do,  whether or not you use Internet Explorer to browse;  go to

• Internet Explorer > Settings > Internet Options > Advanced.
• scroll down to Security
• Check "Use TLS 1.0 / 1.1 / 1.2".  and UNcheck any SSL boxes.

Then retry syncing.
