android (Archived) Snapshot doesn't work on droid

Recommended Posts

When selecting snapshot - the 'old' android camera UI pops up which doesn't seem to work with the droid. Pressing the dedicated camera button (hardware) on the droid does nothing and tapping the camera icon on the UI acts like it's taking a snap - but nothing happens after that.

The current release of the Android beta came out before the Droid was available, so there are a few things that don't work. We plan to address this, however.

Thanks

+1 with this issue. Any ETA on the new version? Reason I ask is I am about to travel a lot in Nov-Dec and I use Evernote Mobile a lot when I travel.

We should have a droid next week to start testing and fixing.

Thanks

I don't know if anyone posted this yet, but if you take a picture using the Droid's camera, you can can then get the image into Evernote using the Share button from the gallery.

I've been using that as a work around, and it seems to be working fine. They joys of beta versions.

I'm using the Pro Zoom Camera 5x app. Though I too cannot seem to take and upload a pic THRU the Beta Evernote App; ... I can take a pic within the Pro Zoom Camera app and 'share' it right to the Evernote app with ease. The pic shows up on line right away.

I did note however that the pic once on the Evernote web space seemed to be of significant lower quality than that of the actual snapshot. ... However, I did not retrieve the pic (uploaded to the web space) from another device and download it there to see if the pic quality returned. ... If that is the case in other testing, the pic quality issue may possibly be attributed to the internet connection or service provider.

How do you get this to work? With the latest beta when I share to Evernote it opens the Evernote APP but does not insert the picture.

I am having exactly the same problem on the Droid's cousin - the Motorola Milestone - with 1.1RC1 :(

We haven't recently been able to reproduce this problem. If there's someone with interest in helping us get to the bottom of it, we're going to need a bit more information. There's an applications in the app store which will send us a little more information about the problems you phone is having. The one I've used is called "SendLog". You can install this on your phone. When it has some problems, SendLog will send your phone's log files via email.

Ultimately you can send them to android-preview@evernote.com

SendLog will tell us about the phone's memory and CPU usage as well as print out errors that we may have logged. Beware, it won't just send Evernote information. If you are concerned about your privacy you can email the file to yourself first and then forward it to Evernote one you're sure there's no private information.

Thanks.
