Power point lectures to evernote?

Is there any way to get powerpoint lecture notes that I downloaded for my class on my computer onto evernote?

Hi.  What do you need your class to do with the presentation?  Download it?  Play it?  And do they have a powerpoint viewer on their devices?

 

You can certainly embed a PPT file in a note,  which will open the presentation on any devices on which the note can be read,  and which have software installed to display it - your own,  or any with which you share the note.

 

If your class don't necessarily have software to show the powerpoint presentation,  you may have access to the 'save as' options in powerpoint,  which would allow you to save it in PDF or JPG formats.  If you saved as JPGs for instance,  you might be able to put each slide into a note and use Evernote's Presentation Mode to re-create the flow.

 

Some experimentation required I think to find the best way forward - and if you haven't already got a test account with a colleague or friend so you can check exactly what your class will see when you do go live with this,  it might be an idea to get one!

Do your slides have additional notes? If so, I would definitely print the notes pages (including the slides) to a pdf file that can be stored and distributed through Evernote. Even without notes, it makes sense to save the slides to pdfs for distribution - that way, your students can't alter your content without recreating the slide. They can show the exact slide in a slide show with full screen, however.
