jbar 0
I would love to know why this is happening. Please don't say, "you can't add tags that don't already exist in a shared notebook, even if you created that notebook." Anyone? Link to comment
Ex Employees charboyd 272 Posted September 18, 2014 Ex Employees Share Posted September 18, 2014 The owner of the notebook must create original tags for a shared notebook. Users with edit permission who have joined this shared notebook will then be able to add any already existing tags to notes in that notebook. We suggest the owner of the notebook to create a note with a library of tags to choose from in the shared notebook. Link to comment
Level 5* jefito 5,589 Posted September 18, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted September 18, 2014 The stated reason for this policy (and related discussion): https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/15249-problem-with-tags-in-shared-notebooks/?p=74499 Link to comment
cjthomas 0
The policy discusses guests not being able to add tags to shared notebooks; I can't add a new tag to a notebook which I own but have shared with someone else. Message provided: Only tags that are already in this notebook can be added to this note. Link to comment
War Eagle 37
I am having the same trouble. I opened a personal notebook and tried to tag a new note, but I get the message: Only tags that are already in this notebook can be added to this note. How do I add tags to the notebook itself?? Confused. Thanks! Link to comment
JeffCessna 0
has anyone gotten an answer to this? I had an employee start the account and he is no longer here. Link to comment
