I'd like to have a paste option to insert a picture from the clipboard

I can copy and paste a picture into an Evernote note on my iPhone. What problems are you having with it? Which iOS device are you using? Which version of iOS?

I use the latest versions. copy & paste seems to be supported from within evernote only. I wanted to paste a snippet from PDF Expert app - for productivity reasons I'd not like to save it as a file and insert it again

In your original post, you asked about copying and pasting a picture. I copied a picture from the camera roll to Evernote with no problems. Can you copy and paste a picture? Now, you're asking about snippets from a PDF. I can copy and paste text snippets from a PDF in PDF Expert to Evernote.

I think that's going to depend on the PDF itself.

I think the issue here is NOT Evernote, but the app that you are using to view the PDF.

If your PDF viewer app can copy the image or text to the clipboard, it can be pasted into Evernote.
