(Archived) Evernote minimized in tray; will not go full screen

Suddenly, Evernote only opens as icon in my tray at bottom of screen and will not go to full screen. I can right click and create a new note, but would like to see full screen.

Revo uninstall and reinstall?  (Search forums for details)

Wow, I use Evernote for many purposes, but if I am going to need to uninstall and reinstall with all my data, I need to just use another program.  Surely, there is another option.

Don't know why Evernote won't go to full screen,  but the two levels of tech support for any software are:

1. switch computer off and on again.  Is it fixed?  If not:
2. uninstall and reinstall

You can either allow Evernote to rebuild the database from the server,  or you can backup and then restore your current database - depends on how many notes you have.

 

Rebuilding 16,000 notes takes 2-3 days.  I speak from experience.

Uninstalling shouldn't cause you to lose your data, unless that's a Revo thing...

Revo won't kill the data.  Should've picked up that point - a normal uninstall / reinstall doesn't affect the notes already stored on the machine.

What is REVO?

Sorry - it's a third party application capable of removing an old installation of Evernote (or anything else..) including all Registry entries,  backup files and other odds and ends.  More thorough than the standard OS uninstall.
