is this good for protect the EN database ?

just use the Windows build-in encryption, so if other peoples copyed or downloaded your database files (just in case you got hacked), but at least they cant open the files

1. right click on the Database folder, and use encryption

2. after that, all the files and folder color changed to green

but this will cause any problems of normal running EN ?

any bad effect ?

For one, if you have any problems, this is unsupported, so you may need to temporarily move the db away from being encrypted when dealing with support. But I've had no ill effect from encrypting my db. Please search the board on Truecrypt for more info.

hmm for me, i just dont want to install third party encryption program :)

u may google "Win32/Filecoder"

or if u can read chinese, read this from NOD32 official web site

http://www.eset.hk/html/86/eset-reports-major-increase-of-dangeroustV.-filecoders-trojans-extorting-ransom-after-encrypting-data/

I didn't say you need to use TC. The point is the issues involved with TC/EN integration will apply to any encryption you use for the exb file.
