(Archived) Strange Auto Caption on a Note

Recommended Posts

This isn’t anything earth-shattering, but I’m curious about it. Earlier today, I took a picture with my iPad and put a copy in Evernote. Later today, I opened the note up on my Windows laptop. I hadn’t tagged or captioned the picture at all.

The automatic caption E/N gave the note is, “Camera roll from Buddy in Los Angeles”. I’m curious because it came from my personal iPad camera roll, and Buddy is the name of my dog. We are both in the picture, but it struck me as weird. He's very smart, but this is the first time he's gotten credit for a photo. Any ideas as to how that caption came to be, lol?

Thanks   :P

There's an option somewhere to turn on or off smart captions where Evernote will use it's best efforts to find a meaningful title.  It is a help in avoiding notes without any context for the content,  but I keep mine turned off.
