(Archived) Link note in evernote to document in Word

I am using a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.4 and have Evernote 5.1.4.  I have successfully linked notes to other notes within evernote itself.  I am trying to link a series of notes to a document in Microsoft Word version 14.0.0.  All that I get is this

Sadly, Word doesn't know what to do with Evernote note links.

 

If this is not sensitive data, you can create a public share link that will open the note in an internet browser.

 

To do that:

1. View the note in Evernote.

2. Click on the Share menu.

3. Click "Copy Share URL to Clipboard"

4. Open Microsoft Word and press Command + K to open the "Insert Hyperlink" prompt.

5. Paste the URL into the Link to: text box.

6. In the Display text box, give your link a name and press OK.

 

Note: To turn link sharing off for that note, return to Step 3 and select "Stop Sharing"

I would recommend adding a Shared tag to that note and any others to keep track of your shared notes easily.
