Changing from app store to downloaded version

Idea

Does anyone have a definitive way of changing from the app store version of Evernote to the web-downloaded one on Mountain Lion? I'm finding the app store version's sandboxing interferes too much with some workflows (and it's missing the print PDF to Evernote feature).

Thanks.

We actually built a conversion function into recent versions of Evernote. Now, all you have to do is shut down the App Store version completely (helper and all) and run the direct download version: http://evernote.com/evernote/index.php?file=EvernoteMac

The app will take care of everything except deleting your old files. That's on you (if you want to).

I did exactly this but now the directory where I would expect to find my Evernote data (user/Library/Application Support/Evernote) appears to be empty.
