mac (Archived) Evernote not working when I type the password

Recommended Posts

Good morning. I'm using a macbook with 10.8.3 version. When I try to launch Evernote, I enter the password (the correct one) and the window minimize, but if I click the evernote icon, it ask me the password again. I can't login actually into evernote. This is only from two days ago. These are the system logs:

Hi - welcome to the Forums.

I'm not an expert with these logs,  but I think the phrase "incomprehensible archive" might be trying to tell you something.  Do you have any local notebooks? - IE stuff not synced with the servers at all?  Or notes that haven't synced yet?  My best suggestion here would be to backup your current database files and then uninstall / reinstall Evernote and re-sync with the servers to download your existing notes.  Depending on how many you have this could take a while.  And/ or you could raise a support ticket (see link below) to see what else the tech guys can suggest.

Edit:  sorry - should have said - backup and uninstall involve some operations you want to carry out carefully;  have a search in the forums for more advice on that.

Starting from 1st principles - can you open your account from Evernote.com via a browser?

Unless anyone with more experience on the Mac sector wants to weigh in here,  I'd say: support request (see link below...).

Re-installing will not resync your local data. You have to manually delete your local database in order to get a fresh copy from the cloud service. Support will do a great job walking you through that.

Thank you very much to everybody. Now I can access Evernote. I have deleted the local database, placed in "/Users/<myUser>/Library/Containers". Now it works fine!!
