(Archived) Lost Kindle Fire- Security Concern

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have lost my Kindle Fire which had the Evernote app on it.

How do I protect against someone else accessing my Evernote info?

I have changed my Amazon password along with my Evernote password.

I looked at my Device Access setting on evernote.com and it only shows and Android device (which I assume is my smartphone), so I'm hesitant as to whether disabling that device will protect the Kindle access or just kill access to my phone.

Thank you for the help!

I'd say if you changed your Evernote password you've protected that content at least, but personally I'd also backup your database (search the forums here for advice on that if you need it) and change your passwords again regularly for a while.

There may be Evenote items cached on the Kindle that may be able to be examined, particularly if the user has a premium account, and has offline notebooks. Not sure what you can do about that.
