extend canvas (or margins) beyond snapshot

Hello,

Quite often I want my annotation to go outside the original snapshot (for example, to draw an arrow from an element on the snapshot to the frame, and describe it there). I did not find how to create wide white margins around the snapshot - how can this be done?

This used to be an option and then suddenly no longer.

Why would the team remove this feature? Seems insane. =\

It was one of the absolute best parts about the program - making annotations off the side of an image. Is the team working to re-implement this in the next version?
 

Does anyone have a link to a previous version which has this functionality? (windows)

What is your Sktich version?

 

With Skitch 2.7.6 on Mac OS, you can go in the preferences and check "Auto-expand canvas".

Ah, yea. Mac sure.

It used to be an option for windows as well, but for some reason a newer release got rid of it. I can't imagine why.
