mac (Archived) HELP: Console error messages from Evernote: _NSAutoreleaseNoPool

Recommended Posts

When I am running Evernote, it drops a very large number of error messages into my console that look like this:

6/6/12 9:17:10 AM Evernote[149] *** __NSAutoreleaseNoPool(): Object 0x1ab34910 of class NSCFArray autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking

I'm not sure what this means, but it seems like Evernote is not interacting nicely with the Mac's memory management. This is on Snow Leopard.

Should I just not worry about this? Is this a common phenomenon, or is it somehow special to me?

Thanks!

Same issue 75 entries in a single second, happening periodically.

6/22/12 1:36:08 PM Evernote[175] *** __NSAutoreleaseNoPool(): Object 0xd2fae0 of class NSCFString autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking

Just went from Lion to Snow Leopard, figured I dodged the Flash problem, now this :-(

Clarification: Getting this error around 45 times in a single second, exactly five minutes apart.

6/27/12 1:08:30 PM Evernote[7253] *** __NSAutoreleaseNoPool(): Object 0x178acaa0 of class NSCFString autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking

45 errors

5 minutes

45 errors

and on and on

I have this issue too on OS X 10.6.8 and Evernote 3.3.0 (300201).

Upon starting I get around 750+ lines of __NSAutoreleaseNoPool() leaks

Every sync produces another 30-100 lines.

Every 15 minutes... sounds like you are getting them on each sync then. (You have 'sync automatically every 15 minutes' turned on?)

I get the leaks when I start the app and with each sync.

I have submitted a ticket about the issue. It might speed things up if you submitted another one :)http://evernote.com/contact/support/
