(Archived) Best Mobile Software for Evernote

Recommended Posts

I am a big time evernote user. The smartphone that I buy will depend on how well it works for Evernote. Which is the best software for Evernote? Which mobile software brings out the best of evernote functionality.

I was using iPhone until it got stolen. I thought I might as well get something that works best with evernote. Any suggestions or do I still stick to an iPhone?

I had a Blackberry Pearl and an iPhone.

In my opinion, they were too slow for the Evernote program load.

The Blackberry app is coming along but is still some way behind the OS version. No idea about Android, but based on a bunch of other stuff I'd rather be on iOS anyway.

I use EN on Win, BlackBerry, ipod touch (not any longer), iPad and Android.

On the mobile devices, EN for Android is the very best one. It is the most advanced and stable version. Even at home where I have the choice between iPad with big display and Android phone with small display I use EN only on Android. The Blackberry version is very limited and has only basic functions compared to the others. I can't say anything about the win mobile version.

My company has given me a 500 € Blackberry for free but I have bought me a Nexus S myself because of evernote for Android. I think this says all.

Marcel.

One caveat about the Android version, per this post, you currently need internet access to search - offline search is currently in beta. If offline searching is an issue for you & you went with Android, you'd need the beta version and/or wait until it's rolled out as a public release.

I have a 4.3" Android phone and an iPad. The Android basically duplicates the EN desktop experience as close as possible on a phone. It blows the iPad experience away. Assuming that the iPhone experience is the same as the iPad experience, than the answer is Android by a long shot. There is talk that the "i" experience will be redone at some point, but right now Android is the answer.

As far as Blackeberry goes, it's a great phone if you like horse and buggies :) and screens with the resolution of phones from 5 years ago. The company is in serious trouble and losing market share like a sieve.

I certainly agree. When I use the Blackberry Pearl by my desk, I sometimes pull out a magnifying glass to read the text.

screen size: 240 x 320 pixels

icon size: 46 x 46 pixels

Looks like the Android is the way to go.
