android (Archived) file is encrypted or is not a database

Recommended Posts

A couple of days ago Evernote stopped working on my Epic. When it opens it starts to sync and then displays "file is encrypted or is not a database" then stops. I cannot access any of the local data, create a new note, search or anything. Ideas?

Sounds like your database may have been corrupted. I would suggest uninstalling, booting, then reinstalling the app. (That's kind of the SOP first debugging step when having problems on the mobile devices.)

I'm having the same problem. If I log out and log back in, my database downloads again and I can use the app - until the next day, when the problem recurs. This has happened three days in a row.

I just upgraded to a Paid subscriber to implement cached notebooks on my Epic, so I'm a little disappointed. Tonight I'll try without the cached notebook to confirm that's what's failing.
