No longer synching after Webclipper update for Firefox

The Evernote icon in Firefox for Mac began frequently showing the dot symbol even though I was logged into Evernote on one of my tabs. I noticed that there was an update to the Evernote add-on that was required, so I updated, accepted the new privacy permissions, and restarted Firefox. However, when I use the clipper now, everything starts off normally (the box appears, recommended notebook happens automatically, tags appear to work normally, etc) however, it gets stuck on "synching" and never finishes. When I look in my Evernote account, indeed the page that I tried to clip did not show up there. I can run the Evernote app for Mac without issue and log into Evernote via Firefox. My Firefox application is up to date as is my Mac OS. Any ideas on what the issue is and how to resolve it on my end if possible?
