WillyWonka 0
I have a 2019 Mac with Catalina, and I want the old version of Skitch on it. I tried the version and it stinks. When I downloaded the old version and try to open it, my Mac says it cannot find a program to open it. Can someone help? To be honest, I think Evernot should trash the crummy new Skitch because it has nothing to offer. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,073 Posted April 7, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted April 7, 2020 If the old version is 32bit software, there is no chance to run it under Catalina. With the new version I have no problem. Have you granted it all the necessary rights in the Catalina settings ? Link to comment
WillyWonka 0
My problem with the new version is it is much harder to use, and it lacks a lot of features the old version has, such as Undo and select, Copy Paste, save to history, drag and drop on desktop, and many other things, plus all the features are hidden under a logo or sub menu, and you have to change all the time and it takes a lot more time. Level 5 PinkElephant 8,073 Posted April 7, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted April 7, 2020 Maybe I see it different because I switched from Windows to Mac only last year. For me it fulfills it’s purpose. When I want to annotate something, I prefer GoodNotes (Mac and iOS). 1 Link to comment
camslice 1
Here's a couple of links, you can get most of the previous version by modifying the URL: https://evernote.s3.amazonaws.com/skitch/mac/release/Skitch-2.7.zip https://evernote.s3.amazonaws.com/skitch/mac/release/Skitch-2.8.zip I can confirm that version 2.8 runs on Catalina. I really wish they would fix the current version though. SFTP upload is completely broken, requiring all sorts of hackery to get around it: 1 Link to comment
mirco 0
awesome, do you happen to have links for older versions of Skitch for Windows? I have version 2.3.2.176 but I'm looking for 2.2 or older. Link to comment
